DEA Registers 900+ Medical Dispensaries—But Moves to Deny This One (CLN, Nov. 1, 2026)
DEA has issued its first federal registrations to more than 900 state-licensed medical marijuana dispensaries in seven states, while a separate DEA notice proposes denying a Minnesota applicant that holds a combined medical and adult-use license. A state license, a federal registration and a proposal are three different things.
Thomas Howard and Miggy also cover the Oct. 29 briefs on the GAO report in the DEA rescheduling hearing (replies due Nov. 5; no decision date), Rep. Steve Cohen’s proposal to remove marijuana from the Controlled Substances Act (proposed only), the Nov. 3 votes in Massachusetts, Idaho and Houston, Illinois’ Nov. 12 line for THC drinks, New Jersey’s pending hemp-drink delay (not signed), and the Curaleaf–Aurora ruling in Alberta.
