When do the new hemp THC rules take effect? For the new federal hemp definition, Nov. 12, 2026 applies to intermediate and final hemp-derived cannabinoid products with cannabinoids not capable of being naturally produced by the plant; the rest of the new federal hemp definition takes effect Dec. 11, 2026.
