Consumption is Now Legal in New Jersey for Police Officers, Just Like Everyone Else – 21 Or Older!
Off-duty police officers in New Jersey are now allowed to consume cannabis products, according to a new memo from acting state Attorney General Matthew Platkin. This means that police officers will not face any discipline for consuming weed, as long as they are 21 or older.
This change comes just before recreational weed sales are set to begin in a handful of retail locations on April 21. The law was passed after voters in New Jersey approved a constitutional amendment in November 2020, which legalized the regulated sale of cannabis products to people 21 and older.
So if you’re a police officer in New Jersey, feel free to enjoy some weed — just like anyone else!
