As one of the largest convenience store chains in the country, Circle K is no stranger to change. And with #cannabis legalization sweeping the nation, it was only a matter of time before the company got its first taste of the industry.
On Wednesday, Green Thumb Industries (GTI) announced that it has signed an agreement to bring its RISE dispensaries to select #CircleK locations in #Florida. This marks the first time that a major cannabis company has partnered with a national convenience store chain to open dispensaries at their locations.
The move comes as more and more states are legalizing cannabis for both medical and recreational use. And with Florida being one of the most populous states in the country, it’s no surprise that GTI is looking to expand its reach there.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with GTI to bring RISE dispensaries to select Circle K locations in Florida,” said Lisa Caputo, spokesperson for Circle K. “This is an exciting opportunity for us to provide our customers with easy access to high-quality cannabis products.”
