Massachusetts Cannabis Delivery | Adult-Use in Massachusetts
Massachusetts’ cannabis delivery program has been in and out of the news recently due to a lawsuit filed by the Commonwealth Dispensary Association (CDA) which represents a large group of medical and adult-use dispensaries. Massachusetts delivery licenses and courier-style licenses are exclusively available to applicants in MA’s social equity program for a minimum of three years which leaves current dispensaries and those in the CDA to wait until at least 2024 to get into the delivery game. After pressure from activists around the country, the lawsuit was dropped. Of course, this is just one of the many headaches in the Massachusetts cannabis industry. Morriss Partee and Aaron Goines from the Massachusetts Cannabis Association for Delivery join today to discuss the recent lawsuit, MA’s license types, and Massachusetts cannabis policy. The Science of Cannabis with Dr. Ethan Russo | The Endocannabinoid System and the Entourage Effect
The world-renowned cannabinoid researcher, Dr. Ethan Russo, joins us on Cannabis Legalization to discuss the science of cannabinoids, terpenoids, and all things cannabis. We’ve all benefited from Dr. Russo’s research on the endocannabinoid system and the entourage effect. Dr. Russo founded CReDO Science along with Nishi Whiteley to commercialize patented cannabis products generated from their research on cannabis and the endocannabinoid system.“In Latin, CReDO means ‘I believe’. We maintain that “the proof is out there” for cannabis/hemp-based solutions for better living. Through our research we aim to understand how to apply components of the cannabis plant to balance the ECS as well as identify markers of ECS dysregulation for the treatment of disease. A unique business, CReDO Science is focused on the development of market disrupting technologies. To do that however, it is key to identify big solvable problems and conduct the preclinical and clinical research necessary to bring these products safely to market. Our goal is not only to bring the products to market for which we have initiated the patent process but also to innovate new solutions to big problems independently and collaboratively in the greatest areas of unmet need. Thus, we consider ourselves a ‘think-and-do-tank.’” – CReDO Science Support the show

Illinois Cannabis Essentially Suspends Social Equity
Illinois is currently making headlines for expunging nearly 500K cannabis arrest records. While this feat cannot be dismissed – where are the new dispensaries? Illinois made nearly $1 billion in cannabis sales in 2020 and as it stands there are no Black-owned dispensaries, cultivators, or cannabis brands in the state. Corruption and greed have certainly played a role in delaying the licensing process, but how can we move forward when those at the top influence legislation? The team from TRUE Social Equity in Cannabis joins us to provide action steps for those who want to see change in Illinois and advice for those creating social equity programs in other states.Guests:Vitoria Herring, Chief Strategist & Marketing Officer, S.E.E.NTyrone Muhammad, Executive Director, Ex-Con’s for Community & Social Change (ECCSC)Anna Rose Ii-Epstein, Director, TRUE Social Equity in CannabisSupport the show
