This week, New Jersey Chief Justice Stuart Rabner issued an order to release non-violent inmates from New Jersey prisons to combat the spread of COVID-19. Vulnerable communities like prisoners and those experiencing homelessness are at a high-risk for contracting the coronavirus. The ACLU championed this order calling it a “landmark agreement”.
